Preston Musgrave Notre Dame

What is it about Hundred High School that brings out the best in Notre Dame's playmakers?
A year ago Irish wideout John Martino racked up a season high 159 receiving yards against Hundred en route to earning a spot in our Hot Corner.
NDHS signal caller Preston Musgrave raised the bar even higher in Notre Dame's suddenly one-sided series against Hundred by accounting for 37 of 48 points scored by the Irish in a shutout victory over the Hornets Friday night.
Musgrave connected on 9-of-13 pass attempts for 211 yards and three touchdowns with no interceptions.
Though the junior standout added a 20 yard touchdown jaunt, his scoring prowess wasn't confined to his snaps from scrimmage as he also kicked five PATs and tallied a 2-point conversion on a first quarter run.

Musgrave rounded out his amazing performance by picking off a Hornets' pass and racing 76 yards for a second quarter touchdown that put the Irish up 41-0 at the intermission.
For these achievements, Notre Dame's Preston Musgrave is THEGAMEBEAKER.NET'S first "Player of the Week" for the 2006 season.
